Embroidered Jiu Jitsu Patches

Embroidered patches are the classic choice and remain the most popular in the martial arts world. Thread is stitched onto a twill backing, creating a raised, textured finish that reads as premium and traditional. They work beautifully on Gi Lapels, hoodies, hats, and bags. We support up to 15 thread colors and can handle detailed logos and text with precision.

PVC Jiu Jitsu Patches

PVC patches have built up a strong following in the BJJ community, particularly for gearbags and team merchandise. Their rubber-like construction is waterproof, scratch-resistant, and easy to clean. PVC also handles fine detail and vivid color better than embroidery, making it a great fit for intricate academy logos or bold graphic designs.

Note: PVC is not recommended for active-rolling Gis, as the rubber can scrape training partners.

Sublimation printing produces patches with full-color, photographic-level detail. If your design includes complex shading, color gradients, or fine artwork, sublimated patches deliver the most accurate color reproduction of any patch type. These work well on casual apparel and merchandise items.

Sew-On Backing

Sew-on backing is the most durable and permanent option. The patch is stitched directly into the fabric, making it the right choice for any application where the patch needs to stay put through regular wear and washing, making it mandatory for BJJ Gis, as well as hoodies and bags.

Velcro Backing

Velcro-backed patches use a hook-and-loop system that lets you attach and remove patches without leaving any permanent marks. These are popular for gear bags, tactical-style apparel, and anyone who wants to swap patches between different items. In the BJJ community, velcro patches are also popular as collectible morale patches.

Iron-on Backing
